UPS Floats Proposal for “Rethinking Mailbox Access”

The USPS is the only authorized organization with access to all US mailboxes across the country. That’s why when Amazon delivers packages on  Sundays it’s the USPS driver that delivers it to you; to your mailbox. Now that the mailing mix has changed significantly to include almost more packages than letters, other mailing companies are voicing their interest in changing the authorization access to U.S mailboxes.  UPS Global Public Affairs senior vice president, Keith Kellison,  was a recent contributor to the USPS Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) blog and reviewed the reasons that the time is right for the exclusive USPS access to be lifted to allow third parties equal access.
