GAME CHANGING PARCEL INNOVATION?
UK retailer Asda has announced a new service allowing online shoppers at specific ecommerce sites to pick up and return their orders at any of the chain’s 614 stores. The service is branded ToYou and is powered by Asda’s parent company, Wal-Mart.
Asda has predicted that this new service will result in an extra 40 Million grocery store visits per year, by 2019. If this Wal-Mart powered service is a success in the UK, there is likely potential for a similar launch in the US next year.
