UPS® Raises Delivery Game – Offers Live Tracking
UPS® knows that Americans are really, really tired of waiting around for the delivery guy. In an era where customers can track their pizza delivery; locate the nearest Uber and follow its journey until pick-up, customers have simply come to expect convenience and visibility. UPS has up the delivery game by launching a new enhancement to its UPS My Choice®, called Follow My Delivery. You can now join more than 22 million customers, who are able to use their mobile devices or computers to monitor on a live map, where their package is located. The live map begins when the route is started, and is updated every two to three minutes.
The service is free and to be eligible, you will have to sign up for a "My Choice" account on the UPS website. For now, the feature is only available to customers who use the UPS® Air and UPS Air Worldwide Express® services but the company plans to extend to other mail options.
UPS chief marketing officer, Teresa Finley shared with Fortune that "Follow My Delivery is the latest example of how we use technology to improve the e-commerce consumer delivery experience from the point of purchase to the time of delivery". UPS also has plans to add more features to the Follow My Delivery service in the future.
